Where Does It Come From? – Cool Clothes that Tell Tales

We Need Your Help! Please Vote and Pledge at VMBVOOM

11At Where Does It Come From? We are all about traceability.  Each item of clothing comes with a code on the label so that the customer can trace through the whole creation journey of their garment – from the cotton field, through the spinning, weaving, dyeing and tailoring.  Most of this work is done totally by hand which makes our fabrics soft and breathable.  We share the stories of the people who make the clothes and how they did it.  We also use ethical processes  – fairtrade working conditions, virtually carbon free production (powered by hand or sun) and non-toxic dyes.  The clothes are well designed – not fast fashion clothes but stylish, comfortable items that you will want to keep.  Since our launch in 2014 we have created 4 collections of children’s clothing and ladies scarves.

22We are now working on the launch of adult, unisex shirts made to the same high quality and ethical guidelines.  We are crowdfunding and pitching as part of Richard Branson’s Virgin Voom.  If you go to this link you can see our pitch (including short video).  This shirt project is unique – you can pre-order and customise a shirt, based on how much you pledge, from sleeve length and colour all the way to working with us to design your own custom print.  We’ve also got a pledge for clubs or small businesses who might want to have a set of shirts or scarves printed with their emblem or logo.  You can have your own unique shirts and the peace of mind that comes from knowing that it was made without harm to people or the environment.

Please vote, pledge for a shirt and tell anyone that you think would like to support us.  We only have till May 23rd to make this happen and we really want to achieve our goal.  We believe that this shirt project is a fantastic and unique opportunity to get a beautiful, ethical shirt while at the same time providing work for the artisans who make our products.

We are based in the UK but can arrange for shirts to be delivered in the USA.
