Part 3 of our wedding series is repurposing these bridesmaid and wedding gowns. We all have a few in the back of our closets that can definitely be turned int new useful pieces.
Here are a few ideas:
Hem it Shorter
Most bridal dresses are formal and floor length, and you’re probably not going to get a lot of use out of a floor-length evening dress, but with a few easy hacks, snips and a little bit of sewing, you can turn your gown into a cute short number perfect for more casual occasions.

Turn it into Jewellery
Gabrielle Bratton (Gabe for short), a 28-year-old San Francisco- and Raleigh-based jewelry designer, makes intricate custom jewelry by coating pieces of fabric from old wedding dresses in precious metal.
The pieces only use a small swatch of fabric, so you can totally still preserve the dress. Or, even better, plan ahead and save some scraps from dress alterations.
A Halloween Costume
We’re just 3 short months away from Halloween, and those bridesmaid dresses can be definitely turned into a costume.
