Frequently Asked Questions

What is Trusted Clothes?

We are a not-for-profit organization advocating for the clothing and fashion industry to become more ethical, sustainable and health-conscious. We advocate for workers' rights in garment factories around the world. We advocate for clothing that produces less pollution and waste on our planet. We advocate for clothing that are healthy for our bodies and minds. We advocate for positive change inside the garment and clothing industry.

Why focus on clothes?

The global apparel market is valued at 3 trillion dollars annually and accounts for 2 percent of the world's Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Almost 60 million people were employed in the textile & clothing manufacturing sector in 2014. Like oil, it is one of the most profitable industries on the planet. Yet it is also one of the most exploitative and dirty industries in the world. We believe we can change that.
